I doubt there are many people running around on 50 year old tires. I'm gonna say they're probably using something like this https://www.cokertire.com/tires/bran...sic-tires.html
Those tires are not cheap. $2k for 4 https://www.cokertire.com/tires/coke...blackwall.html or $200/yr is you replace them every 10 years. What a Model A worth these days? Are they rising in value? With owning an old car pushing $1500 annually for storage, tires, insurance it's taking the fun out. My Puma stored for $500/year. Ins is $230. Looks like tires will run me $160 if I drive or not, I guess the 10 yr. rule is going to apply to 4x4 tires too? No? What about sled tracks? I know of 30 yr. old sleds with factory tracks that appear new and have never failed.

I think a good deal of people know gas goes bad. I wonder how many know tires time out?

I'll ask around at some drive ins about their tires. I noticed TA Radials are only produced in 14 where I checked, and only about 6 profiles/widths. Funny to think 500 hp. firebreathers ran on such base tires back in the day.

They don't have to do anything to mitigate risk because it's up to you too maintain your car.
10 years old they are degraded Dunlop themselves says they are junk.
Ide personally use them as spares/rollers but wouldn't be going on any trips or trying to sell them, or use them as a regular tire
