Cutting into rear wheel well for larger wheels?(32")

I'm hoping a few of you can weigh in on the safety of cutting into this area inside of the wheel well where there are the 2 rubber stoppers. I need to cut in around 1 inch or so to fit 32" wheels from a wrangler and replace the current 26s..Name: IMG_20240116_052133.jpg

That is a neat look you have there. I'm not sure going even bigger will improve it. I don't know about cutting that area, but surely someone will comment
