I've owned several salvage title cars through the years. I've never had any issues with them.
Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100

The dealer that sold me my Mirage keeps sending me letters saying they would like to buy it back for $4888 or some ridiculous trade-in value on a new one. How do those guys sleep at night?

Thats because some people actually fall for it. As an accounting and marketing major I can't tell you how bad consumers can get. I feel as though with my marketing skills I can manipulate people easily.

The resale on the Mirage is really bad. I looked up the KBB value on mine awhile back and gasped. Worth about 30% of the MSRP after 3yrs. It's a great reason to A) keep it until the wheels fall off and B) get a massive discount when you buy it new. Thankfully I did, but it's still disheartening now that I'm toying with the idea of trading up. For used shoppers the Mirage is an excellent value.

That's baloney - your car is worth more than that.

What do they know about anything anyway.

My 2014 has not yet hit the 15k mark. Ima drive it for 10 years or 100k, whichever comes first - then keep driving it.

Pssh engine and trans only has about 60k now. Its worth way more in just how cheap it is to fix(except rear drums....jeez 385). Im actually looking for a decent shape wrecked 2017 so I can get all the updated stuff and replacement parts for cheap.

I've got 2 15's and 1 17' wreck here. Sorry can't part them out for you guys, I already asked. The company doesn't want to sell parts we will likely need(eventually) for the other 30 something Mirages.
