I do not remember what I did for this gas tank. I do know I did quite a lot of freeway driving as usual. I did a 120 Mi Freeway Drive and the car that I averaged something like 69 miles per gallon at the end of it. Nice! And the air conditioner has ran some of the time. Also at 16,050 Miles I changed the engine oil, transmission oil, the transmission pan filter, and the cartridge filter. And replace the gaskets. I did it very early but just trying to keep it running great for a long time. It's a really straightforward job. It takes about three or four hours. Faster if you have the car higher up off the ground. I barely had any room to work with I couldn't even roll over under the car. To do that I would have to get out and go back under at a different angle. Filled at 16,312 miles. |

Lots of city driving! A few trips I only got 28 miles per gallon and it was over an hour. At least according to the car. I did do a freeway trip that was like 160 Mi and I got 61 miles per gallon with air conditioner on. I don't have a good feeling about this tank though. I feel like it will be under 50 miles per gallon. Also pretty early into the tank I got the tires rotated. And they lower the pressure to something like 39 PSI I have not pumped them back up to normal yet which is about 42. I can tell the car doesn't roll as good. Also yesterday I got 70% ceramic tint on all of the windows. Hopefully that will help with not having to use the air conditioner as much. Before even with the air conditioner on it wouldn't cool down much below 90° inside the car if it's about 90° outside. So as soon as I got the tint on of course the weather had to change back to cold so I have no idea if it is actually helping. Yesterday it was 99 degrees fahrenheit. I got the tint on last night. And today it's only 61° apparently. Filled at 15,560 miles. |

Lots of mountain driving, with about 750 pounds of cargo + people in the car. Whole route: Bunday Canyon Road at the Arco gas station next to the I-15 onramp, took the I-15 North to the CA-91 East, took that to the I-215 East, to the I-10 East, to the CA-38, all the way up to an elevation of 8,500 feet, then lowered down to Big Bear Lake, where our cabin is, and dropped off a lot of weight (wooden flooring). From there, with a nearly empty load, I went down the CA-18, backside, then took the CA-247 towards Yucca Valley, then took CA-62 south towards the I-10 east, then to the CA-60 south, to the CA-215 West, to the I-15 north. On the way up, I also stopped at a lot of turn outs, and started moving a lot because of that, so very close to city driving. Plus I checked out Forest Falls, drove through the entire town. Very steep, 2,500 RPM got me about 25 MPH. Filled at 15,245 miles. |

This is a really weird outcome. At the last gas station I filled up and it got worse fuel economy then I expected. Then I proceeded to drive 123 miles and the gas tank was still plumped full according to the gauge. So my theory is they overfilled my tank. The gas pump didn't work correctly. It was extremely slow. Either way I had to check the fuel economy again to see what was going on and yes, we're getting over 100 miles per gallon from the last tank. Which is not correct. So the last time I filled up it overfilled the car. Filled at 9,407 miles. |
